PHD in Biomedical Engineering

Dr. Tefo Bubi serves as Director of LEMS, a company he founded nearly seven years ago. Dr. Bubi has over 20 years of Biomedical Engineering experience from different institutions both locally and internationally such as University of Connecticut (USA), Princess Marina Hospital (BW) and Rice University (USA). The experience includes research, clinical and hands-on biomedical engineering work. The combined experience and networking capabilities of Dr. Bubi makes his presence in the board of director invaluable. To date, he remains the nation’s 1st and only PhD holder in Biomedical Engineering.

CHARTERED GLOBAL MANAGEMENT ACCOUNTANT ( ACMA, CGMA, ACPA Bots)
A Chartered Global Management Accountant who also graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University of Hartford with a double major in Insurance and Finance, Mr. Gokatweng is a seasoned business leader with fifteen (15) years’ experience in Banking Operations Management, six (6) of which were spent in Executive roles. He is passionate about business process performance optimization. Mr. Gokatweng joined Leading Edge Markets (Pty) Ltd in September 2019 as the Company’s Strategy and Corporate Manager.

B.Eng Engineering Physics

Earned a degree in Engineering Physics form McMaster University, Hamilton, Ontario, Canada. Currently serves as a Sales & Marketing Manager at LEMS. She has a combination of almost 15 years of experience doing sales, user-training & after-sales support in the healthcare sector. Through the years her focus has been on equipment solutions for Operating Theatre, Intensive care, Ophthalmology, as well as for general hospital usage. To Maipelo, a customer is the most valuable asset an organization can have. Her quest for customer-driven focus and best user experience is remarkable.

B.Eng in Biomedical Engineering

Bushy began his career as a biomedical engineer in 2005 with the Ministry of Health (MoH) immediately after completing his qualification as a biomedical engineer. He spent a total of six (6) years at MoH in procurement, with the opportunity to be part of a team that oversaw the equipping of four newly built 350 beds hospitals. He later became a field service engineer working for Beckman Coulter, Biomeriux, Instrumentation Laboratory and Gene Xpert distributor. Four years later, life happened again and Bushy jumped into a faster moving ship called Leading Edge Markets where he became part of the captain’s crew as technical manager. When he is not talking to Siemens, Nihon Kohden, Carestream, Thermofisher or serving customers, Bushy is a husband and father to three boys.

MSC in Health Services Management

Ransford Roy Tsoka works as Laboratory Services Manager here at LEMS. He has worked in various Private Laboratories including Diagnofirm, Lancet and MEDLASS. In these laboratories he worked from bench technologist to managerial positions. From laboratory environment he moved to sales and marketing of medical equipment at Waesi and later Arledodor. At LEMS, he is a pioneer of Laboratory business department which he continues to grow and develop. Ransford Tsoka has a diploma in Medical Laboratory Science and a Masters in Health Services Management. He is maturity and experience in medical laboratory environment is invaluable for LEMS..

B.Eng Biomedical Engineering
Been actively practicing in the Botswana medical devices industry since mid-2016. Mainly focused on OR equipment and OR planning & designing. Experienced with the installation, servicing and maintenance of radiology equipment including mobile X-Ray units, digital radiography systems, contrast injectors, CT and MRI.

CHARTERED GLOBAL MANAGEMENT ACMA, CGMA, ACPA Bots)
A seasoned qualified Chartered Global Management Accountant and Associate Member of the Botswana Institute of Chartered Accountants. He carries vast experience spanning over 10 years in accounting, finance and business advisory. He joined LEMS in September 2020 as the Head of Finance.
